This FAQ page is for all Solotel employees should you have any questions about the different systems we use. Below are a list of the most commonly asked questions and main sources of support for who you should contact if your questions are not answered below.

WIFI Questions

Where do I go for support?

Call Solotel Support on 02 8604 5594 and select Option 2 

My venue has no WIFI, what do I do?

Log this issue with Ethan Support on 02 8604 5594 (select option 2) and notify your General Manager and Experience Manager

How can I connect a Solotel device to Solotel WIFI?

Log the issue with Ethan Support on 02 8604 5594 (select option 2).

Please note: We do not share the Solotel WIFI password for security purposes 
 

How can I connect my personal device to Solotel WIFI?

No personal device can be connected to Solotel WIFI. You can connect using the guest WIFI.

What is the Solotel Devices password?

We do not share this password, if you are trying to connect a Solotel device to the Wi-Fi, please reach out to Ethan Support on 02 8604 5594 (select option 2).

Where do I go for support?

Call Solotel Support on 02 8604 5594 and select Option 2

I have been locked out of email; how do I get back in?

Step 1: Go to www.office.com

Step 2: Type in your login (this will be your Solotel email) =  Firstname.Lastname@solotel.com.au and hit ‘Sign in’. This will then take you to the reset page.

 

 

Step 3: Click on ‘Forgotten my password’ to reset your password / unlock your account.

 

 

Step 4: The below page will appear. It is here that you are to enter your email and proceed to enter the ‘character code’, if you cannot read it click on the refresh symbol and this will generate a new code.

 

 

Step 5: The below box will appear and will ask for you to ‘Enter a new password’ and to the ‘Confirm your new password’. Once you have done this youwill be taken to a new page that will advise you that your password has been reset. 

 


NOTE: You will receive the below email notification when you have reset your password from Microsoft on behalf of SOLOTEL PTY LTD. 

 

 

After you have gotten this email, you have now successfully completed the process of resetting your email login and you are FINISHED.

TYRO

Where do I go for support?

You can contact Tyro on the Solotel Support IT number:

02 8604 5594 and select Option 3

1300 966 639 (then press a silent option 9)

How do I order a new Tyro?

Call Tyro on 02 8604 5594 and select option 3. Placed your tyro terminal order with a delivery ETA. 

How do I connect Tyro to POS?

Step 1: Go to your POS till, search for control panel then select ‘Tyro Terminal Adaptor (32-bit)

Step 2: Select the ‘Configure and Pair’

Step 3: GO back to Tyro and press the Menu button, go down to configuration (5) and put in admin password (this is your area postcode) then select integrated EFTPOS and then Pair with POS (2)

Step 4: Tyro will show you the merchant ID number and the Default Terminal ID number – make sure these match

Step 5: Click start on Tyro and once it says ‘PAIRED’ on Tyro click ‘Save and Pair’ on your POS and your tyro will be connected.

ME&U

Where do I find the ME&U imagery library?

Go into the shared Venue Media Library in SharePoint. If you need access, please contact your Marketing Manager.

How do I setup ME&U printing in H&L?

Venue Preparation for ME&U Go Live

 

Once the Table Ordering Location and Drinks printer has been set up in H&L you will need to start setting up the items to be sold through ME&U to print to your chosen printer.


These steps will need to be completed for every menu update/changes to ME&U items offered.


Site Prep
· Range in Drink Modifiers – for example +coke, no ice, Lemon Slice, 4 Glasses
· Assign all Beverages and Drink Modifiers to the ME&U Drinks Printer or Cocktail Printer
· Check Short Description in ME&U Location – this is what will print on the docket
· Food Modifiers need to be assigned to the Kitchen Printer in Table Ordering Location
· Give ME&U all product details including Mods to make available on ME&U ordering
 

Setting the Drinks Printer
1. From the stock module select options and allow editing in list Mode.
2. Search for product. Use filters to Select Table Location and set items to the relevant Printers
3. Save by Clicking on Blue tick on the right-hand side. 
 

Allow Edit in List Mode:

 

 

Filter to Table ordering location and assign the Printer (as seen below)
 

 

Restarting H&L Sysnet Point of Sale Controller 


Go to H&L services and restart H&L Sysnet Doshii and H&L Sysnet POS Controller 


1. Locate Services – you may have an icon on the desktop or can search for services 
 

 

2. Locate Point of Sale - press stop, wait approx. 12 seconds, and Hit Start. 

 

 

 

TANDA

Where do I go for support?

Log onto Tanda via the Web and click on the Live Chat box. Alternatively, you can email support@tanda.co

How do I backpay an employee?

Fill in the ‘Backpay TANDA Template’ that is saved in the H; Drive: H:\Operations\Training & Support Documents – TANDA and email It off to Solotel Payroll at payroll@solote.com.au

How do I add an employee to my venue that is helping our venue out?

You cannot do this yourself. You will need to reach out to Solotel Payroll and ask them to do this for you. Email is: payroll@solotel.com.au

How do I add another role to an employee in my venue?

You cannot do this yourself. You will need to reach out to Solotel Payroll and ask them to do this for you. Email is: payroll@solotel.com.au

Where can I show my casual employees the 'How To’s’ of TANDA?

Get them to log into TANDA via the web and go to the ‘Help’ tab and select ‘Tutorials’ this will then bring up Solotel based training videos of the following:


1. How to log into Tanda
2. Navigating the Tanda mobile app
3. How to clock in and out of your shift
4. How to request leave
5. How to view your roster
6. How to view and accept timesheets

H&L

Where do I go for support?

What is the first problem solving step I should take with a H&L issue?

Log onto the H&L pos server and click on 'services’ and follow the below steps:

1. Go to H&L services and restart H&L Sysnet --> H&L Sysnet POS Controller 
2. Locate Services – you may have an icon on the desktop or can search for services

 

 

2. Locate Point of Sale - press stop, wait approx. 12 seconds, and hit Start.

 

 

How do I order H&L hardware? Eg: POS till, Printers- POS printer, Kitchen Thermal Printer

Email H&L@corporate.com.au identifying your venue, what hardware you need and delivery ETA. Make sure you cc your General Manager and Annie Walker when placing order.


Note with Printers: describe if you are after a POS bar printer or a Kitchen Thermal Printer.
 

How do I setup ME&U printing in H&L?

Once the Table Ordering Location and Drinks printer has been set up in H&L you will need to start setting up the items to be sold through ME&U to print to your chosen printer.

How do I reset my tills?

Step 1: Go to ‘H&L’ icon on the right-hand side of your POS till and double click it

 

 

Step 2: Click ‘Reset Exceed’ and your POS program will begin to reboot.

 

How do I put my Till into Training Mode?

Go to manager page tab on your POS till screen and select the ‘Training Mode’ button. This will switch over your POS screen.


NOTE: you will know your POS is in ‘Training Mode’ as the screen turns RED. (see picture).
