Solotel, the exclusive hospitality partner of Sydney WorldPride 2023, announces its stacked line-up of spectacular glitz, colour, culture, and fun. Pole rooms, kissing booths, vibrator races, boozy brunches, Diva Karaoke, pride trivia, LGBTQIA+ mixers, dress-up parties, queen-level line-ups of queer DJs and anthems and more. Let the party begin!
 

The family-owned hospitality group is partnering with some of Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ tastemakers to curate the inclusive and diverse styling, entertainment, and music programming across its flagship Sydney WorldPride venues. Each tastemaker focuses on a particular Solotel venue that they already have an affinity with ensuring it has a unique flair that resonates with its local queer community. Kings Cross Hotel; The Bank, Marly, and Courty in Newtown; The Clock and Goros in Surry Hills; Darlo Bar, Darlinghurst; The Abercrombie, Chippendale; Paddo Inn, Paddington; Barangaroo House; and Opera Bar are the official venues of Sydney WorldPride and set to come alive over the 17-day extravaganza.
 

Queens Cross Hotel x 4the.love present Pride Party Palace
Five levels of unity, celebration, and glittering love. Follow the rainbow into a camped up iconic Aussie Pride Pub on ground floor. Welcoming all locals and visitors for friendly bar vibes, pub eats and free events including Beats&Bevvies (daily); Beats&Buddies mixers (21 and 28 Feb); The Gayme Show with Miss Joyce Maynge (15 and 22 Feb, 1 Mar); and Big Queer Trivia (16 and 23 Feb, 2 Mar). Step up to level one for the Pink Patio’s laid-back, pinked-up, Aussie backyard party. It’s casual, camp, and can range from chilled and mild to late night wild. On level three, clubbers of LOVE unite at Diamond Disko. Level four, journey into Passion Parlor, a pink-tastic palatial playground of feel-good house music. Uniting all pride tribes with a ‘best night ever’ soundtrack, ensuring there’s both hands and LOVE in the air all night long. Rise up the palace elevator and step into the tropical oasis of Rainbow Rooftop. Soak up the views of Sydney’s iconic Kings Cross as the sun sets, while 4the.love DJs serve up summer house vibes. Check the website for multi-level ticketed club LOVE events for pop, disco, house, or RnB fans - there’s a party for you. The pole room is back for the Empire Girls Party (25 Feb) and slap on your sexiest sarong or strip down to your fave speedos for a special post-Bondi Beach Party edition of club LOVE (4 Mar), complete with summer themed slip, slop and slapper fun for everyone.

The Abercrombie x Kate Monroe x Xander Khoury
The Abercrombie celebrates Sydney WorldPride with a two-week program of parties and events curated by Sydney DJ Kate Monroe and House of Silky co-founder, Xander Khoury. Heaps Gay, Kerfew, Barba, SUGAR, Angels Only, Canned Fruit, Fur Ball, Queer Techno Collective, Queer House Collective and more make the of this multi-level venue and 24-hour license, throwing parties til the sun is up. Not-to-be-missed events include ‘Pride, Play & Party’ Welcome Party (17 Feb); Fur Ball x Canned Fruit present: Hump Night (22 Feb); Queer House Collective (24 Feb); Parade Afterparty (25 Feb); SUGAR Sunday Rooftop Party at Casa Rosa (26 Feb); and Angels Only present: Show Us Ya Tips (3 Mar).

Clock Hotel x Richard Reid
Surry Hills local and queer icon Richard Reid curates two weeks of parties, boozy brunches, karaoke nights, drag queens, go-go dancers and so much more at The Clock. Each Thursday to Sunday during Sydney WorldPride, Collins Street closes to traffic and transforms into ‘The Garden of Adam & Steve’, an inclusive ‘heaven’-themed beer garden and outdoor dining precinct. The entire two weeks, Balcony Bar upstairs turns into a den of debauchery - think soft BDSM vibes with illuminated red latex on the bar and walls, chains, red feathers, fur, and out-there inflatables. Ground floor and Whiskey Room transforms into a Tom of Finland-inspired gallery of iconic and vintage posters and artworks. Party from midday til late at Summer Camp (18 Feb); warm up with Boozy Sunday Brunches (18 and 26 Feb); belt out a tune at Diva Karaoke (28 Feb); party with go go dancers on parade night (25 Feb); get Frisky on Fridays (17 and 24 Feb) and more. With a vision of ‘over the top inclusivity’, Reid describes the program as having ‘anything and everything on offer for the entire community’.

Bank Hotel x Birdcage x Woody’s
The Bank’s dear friends at Birdcage and Woody’s curate a diverse line up featuring All Sorts, BOYTHiNG, Canned Fruit, Jackie Daniels, Gaff E, GiRLTHING, OURTHiNG, Raw, Risque-Gay, Sveta and Veer East. Free event highlights include DJs & Drag (17 Feb); Canned Fruit (17 Feb); RuPaul Trivia hosted by Jackie Daniels (20 Feb); All Sorts Parade Viewing Party (25 Feb); GiRLTHING, BOYTHiNG, OURTHiNG all-inclusive party (4 Mar) and more.

Goros x Milan’s Pride Playhouse
Step inside Milan’s Pride Playhouse – a glittery rainbow of fabulous activity and free events. Resident queen, Milan Swaay, takes over this favourite late-night Surry Hills playground. Hit those high notes with a queer anthem karaoke competition and win cash prizes (22 Feb and 1 Mar); mingle at the all-inclusive LGBTQIA+ mixers complete with kissing booth (23 Feb and 2 Mar); throw it back at 90'S and 00'S dress-up parties (24 Feb and 3 Mar); and boogie the night away with a queen-level line-up of queer anthems and face painting all night long (25 Feb and 4 Mar).

Darlo Bar
This queer institution hosts a series of all free events over Sydney WorldPride. Let Felicity Frockaccino, Tora Hymen and Raquel Feltch entertain you with ‘Felicity & Friends’ (17 Feb, 3 and 4 Mar); try the highly gay and highly fabulous Trivia with a Sprinkle of Rainbow hosted by TFT (21 and 28 Feb); Drag Bingo (23 Feb and 2 Mar); Balls Deep Pool Comp (22 Feb and 1 Mar); Queermas Eve party with Raquel Feltch and special guest DJ Victoria Anthony (24 Feb); Parade Viewing Party (25 Feb); and Rooftop Recovery (26 Feb).
